Jian Long Zheng (Fujian, China/Quanzhou ZianDi ) each won two points and helped the Tomcat men's tennis squad secure a 5-4 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) win over homestanding Washington & Jefferson College Thursday afternoon.
McAndrew notched a 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 win over Shihao Liang at second second singles and teamed up with
Richard Parks (Penn Hills, Pa./Penn Hills) to post an 8-4 first doubles victory over Liang and Samuel Miller.
Zheng registered a 6-4, 6-1 win over Renato Popovic at third singles after tallying a 8-5 second doubles win with
Shun Kogai (Tokyo, Japan/) over Popovic and Christopher Fadil.
Roger Irby (Transfer, Pa./Greenville) was the other Tomcat point winner, earning a 6-2, 1-6, 6-3 win over Bradley Jurik at fifth singles.
Thiel (5-10, 2-4 PAC) is back in action on Friday, April 13 when it hosts Allegheny College for a 4 p.m. match.
