Men’s Tennis Drops 6-3 Decision to Westminster

NEW CASTLE, Pa. – The Tomcat men's tennis team suffered a 6-3 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) setback against Westminster College Wednesday afternoon at the North Beaver Indoor Tennis Courts.

Collin McAndrew (Dayton, Ohio/General McLane) was the lone double winner for Thiel (4-10, 1-4 PAC), posting a 6-2, 6-3 win over Sean Black at second singles and teaming with Richard Parks (Penn Hills, Pa./Penn Hills) at first doubles to down Westminster's (4-9, 4-1 PAC) Drew Trifelos and Brad Thomas 8-6.

Jian Long Zheng (Fujian, China/Quanzhou ZianDi ) earned the Tomcats only other victory of the day, defeating Brad Thomas 7-6, 4-7, 8-6 at third singles.

Thiel will be back in action on Thursday, April 12 when they travel to Washington & Jefferson College for a 3:30 p.m. match.
