ALLIANCE, Ohio — The Tomcat men's tennis team dropped to 1-2 in their non-traditional season as they fell to the Purple Raiders of Mount Union 9-0 on Friday night.
Richard Parks (Penn Hills, Pa./Penn Hills) was the Tomcat's top performer as he fell 3-6, 6-1, 7-10 at number one singles to the Purple Raiders' Nate Fockler. Parks then joined with fellow sophomore Collin McAndrews to take three sets in an 8-3 loss at number one doubles.
The Tomcats will be off until their spring season, which will begin on February 23, 2013 with a rematch against Daemen College in Amherst, N.Y.
