GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College men's basketball squad, fresh off of a school-record 18 win regular season, enters the 2011 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Men's Basketball Championship Tournament as the number one seed and will play host to eighth-seeded Waynesburg University Tuesday evening at Beeghly Gymnasium.
The Tomcats (18-6, 13-1 PAC) enter their first-round matchup with the Yellow Jackets (6-19, 2-12 PAC) riding a six-game winning streak and have yet to drop a game at Beeghly Gymnasium this season (10-0). Aundra Jones (Youngstown, Ohio, Kennedy Catholic) leads the conference in field goal percentage (.599), is third in blocks (1.67 bpg), and is ninth in rebounding (6.5 rpg). The balanced Tomcat scoring attack features three of its five starters averaging double figures and key sixth-man

The Tomcats were ranked sixth in the Great Lakes region in the most recent (Feb. 16) NCAA Division III regional rankings.
