GREENVILLE, Pa. (Aug. 14) -- The Thiel College Department of Athletics officially kicked off preparations for the 2026-27 academic year Monday with its annual Athletic Staff Retreat and Leadership Summit.
The day-long event brought together Thiel coaches, administrators and campus partners for a series of presentations, discussions and collaborative sessions designed to prepare the department for the year ahead.
Led by Director of Athletics Isaac Collins, the retreat featured an eight-part leadership summit covering department vision, campus partnerships, program sustainability, resource stewardship and leadership development. Staff members also participated in sessions focused on student-athlete resources, technology, NCAA compliance, Title IX, student success, career development and other areas impacting the student-athlete experience.
The theme of the summit and the entire year for the Tomcats is simple: One Department. One Standard. One Team.
The retreat provided an opportunity for Athletics staff to connect with representatives from across the College while establishing department-wide goals and expectations ahead of the 2026-27 academic year.
The event concluded with a Leadership Launch Ceremony, action planning and the department's official 2026-27 staff photo.
