GREENVILLE, Pa. (May 26) -- Thiel College Baseball star Calvin Cackowski (Wickliffe, Ohio/Wickliffe) was named to the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/Rawlings and D3baseball.com All-Region VII Third Team's Tuesday afternoon. 

Cackowski is now a two-time ABCA/Rawlings All-Region honoree and is the first Tomcat to earn the distinction twice since Matt Elko in 2015 and 2016. He is the 11th Tomcat ever named to the D3baseball.com All-Region squad.

Cackowski finished his stellar senior season in Greenville with 11 home runs, which is tied for third-most in team history, and 49 RBIs, the fifth-most in team history. His 11 long balls were third-best in the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) while his 49 RBIs led the league. 

The senior was fourth in the conference in slugging percentage (.685) and 10th in the PAC in on-base percentage (.473). His 1.158 OPS was fourth-best in the league as he was 1-of-10 qualified conference hitters to have an OPS greater than 1.000. Cackowski's 87 total bases were fifth-most in the league.

Cackowski, who made the All-PAC First Team for the second-straight season, raked 23 career home runs, the fifth-most in program history. He also drove in 110 runs while smacking 130 career hits.
