GRANVILLE, Ohio (March 28) -- The Thiel College Outdoor Track & Field squads competed at the Denison Lid-Lifter from Deeds Field at Piper Stadium Saturday.
For sprints on the men's side,
John Bresnan (Greenville, Pa./Reynolds) placed eighth in the 100m at 11.41s while finishing 13th in the 200m at 23.33s.
Brady Wear (Kinsman, Ohio/Joseph Badger) PR'd in the 200m at 24.23 to place 20th.
In distance,
Nathaniel Turner (Conneaut Lake, Pa./Conneaut Area) placed 7th-of-19 in the 5,000m with a PR of 15:56.90.
In the field,
Zack Loeser (Long Island, N.Y./Rocky Point) finished third in the high jump at 1.87m, his second-longest collegiate jump.
Elijah Butterly (Homer City, Pa./Homer Center) set PRs in the shot put (11.42m) to place 15th and hammer throw (26.13m) to place 17th.
Joseph Vagnier (New Kensington, Pa./Valley) also PRd in the hammer throw at 32.32m to place 14th.
On the women's side,
Mae Struna (Williamsfield, Ohio/Pymatuning Valley) placed 7th-of-20 in the shot put at 10.41m. Struna was 14th in the discus at 29.83m.
Cydeny Wierzbowski PRd in the hammer throw at 35.16m to finish 11th while her 8.32m shot put was good for 15th.
Thiel is back in actuion next Saturday for the Dave Labor Invite at Slippery Rock.
