Men's Tennis drops Spring opener at Mount Union

ALLIANCE, Ohio -- The Thiel College Men's Tennis team dropped their spring opener to the Mount Union Purple Raiders 6-1 Friday evening from Alliance, Ohio.

Tomcats fall to 0-4 as Mount advances to 5-3.

Bret Vilage (North Huntingdon, Pa./Norwin) took Thiel's solo singles win 6-4, 6-3 at the No. 2 singles spot.

Vilage and Tyrus Horton (Fuquay Varina, N.C./Athens Drive) dropped their doubles match 6-2, as Horton went 2-6, and 0-6 in the No.1 single spot.

The Blue and Gold return to action Thursday, Mar. 5 as they host Mount Aloysius at 3 p.m.
