TRAFFORD, Pa. (Oct. 12) -- Thiel College Women's Volleyball freshman Addi Vagi (Marysville, Mich./Marysville) was named the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Newcomer of the Week Monday afternoon.

Vagi is the first Tomcat since teammate Arin DeLattre (Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield) in 2023 to earn Newcomer of the Week recognition and the first setter to do so since Brook Talbot in 2022.

Vagi turned in a career-best week for the Tomcats with 42 assists, 26 digs, 12 kills, four service aces and two blocks as Thiel went 1-1 in league action last week.

She recorded the Cats' first triple-double since Alex Hall on Oct. 31, 2013, tallying 21 assists, 16 digs and 10 kills in the Tomcats' 3-1 victory over Hiram last Wednesday. Vagi established career highs in all three categories while also recording a career-best four service aces against the Terriers. Vagi followed that performance with her third double-double of the season, registering 21 assists and 10 digs in Saturday's clash with Franciscan.

Vagi leads Thiel with 156 assists to go with 3.63 assists per set. Her marks in aces (13) and digs (91) are second on the team while she has tallied 43 kills on the season.

The Tomcats cap there four-match homestand with a clash against reigning-PAC-champions Grove City at 7 p.m. Wednesday. Thiel closes the week Saturday with a noon tilt at Chatham.
