Harpst named Honorable Mention All-PAC; Women's Golf places 4th at PAC Championships

BOARDMAN, Ohio (April 26) -- Thiel College women's golfer Alaina Harpst (Greenville, Pa./Greenville) collected Honorable Mention All-PAC honors after tying for 12th at the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Championships from Millcreek Golf Course-North in Boardman, Ohio Saturday. As a team, Thiel placed 4th of 6 for the Championship.

The Tomcats totaled 1,498 strokes for the championship to finish 14 strokes back of Allegehny for third. Westminster took home the team title with 1,337 strokes.

Harpst, a Second Team All-PAC pick last season and First Team honoree as a freshman in 2021-22, carded 357 strokes for the championship and shot a 96 for the day to tie for 12th. She had one par and eight bogeys in the final round. Harpst totaled 90 strokes in round one, 84 in round two and 87 in the third round yesterday. 

Taylor Susany (Struthers, Ohio/Struthers) finished 18th as she shot a 96 in the last round and a 372 over the four-round championship. Susany had a par on each of the front and back nines to go along with nine bogeys for the day. 

Kelsi Hefner (Meadville, Pa./Meadville) continued her solid spring showing as she carded a 90 in the final round and an 89 yesterday to finish 20th with 382 strokes. She had a trio of pars on the front nine and 10 bogeys for the final round. Her 89 yesterday was a championship-best 13-stroke round-over-round improvement from round two when she totaled 102 strokes.

Emily Eutsey (Jones Mills, Pa./Mount Pleasant) finished 22nd with a 387 for the championship. She carded a 97 for the day with one par and 10 bogeys.

Megan Bull (Hermitage, Pa./Hickory) placed 32nd with a 443. She posted her best round of the championship with a 103 today as she parred the par-three eighth and bogeyed four times. Bull was named to the All-PAC Sportsmanship Team.
