FT. PIERCE, Fla. (March 14) -- The Thiel College Baseball team dropped a non-conference tilt with Kenyon College 14-5 Friday afternoon at Lawnwood Baseball Complex.

The Tomcats drop to 2-7 while the Owls rise to 6-7.

Thiel jumped to a 1-0 lead in the first as Nathen Prunty (Elyria, Ohio/Keystone) brought in Chase Morrison (Monaca, Pa./Central Valley) with a gap-shot double. Kenyon evened things in the bottom of the first, but Thiel forged ahead 2-1 on a Nick Jacobs (New Castle, Pa./Union) RBI single in the third.

Prunty finished 1-for-4 with a RBI while Morrison was 2-for-4 with a pair of runs. Jacobs swatted a pair of hits to go 2-for-4 with a RBI and a run.

Ethan Bintrim (New Castle, Pa./Shenango) worked a scoreless third and ended the frame with a K to keep it 2-1. Kenyon loaded the bases with nobody out in the fourth but Bintrim was able to limit the damage to 2 as the Owls went ahead 3-2.
