WAYNESBURG, Pa. -- The Thiel Men's Soccer team dropped their Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) contest to Waynesburg University 5-0 on the road Wednesday night.
Thiel drops to 3-8-1 (0-4-1) on the season, as the Yellow Jackets advance to 7-4-1 (2-2-1).
Waynesburg got on the board quick in the first seven minutes of the game to take the 1-0 lead. Both teams battled it out on defense, to end the half with the Yellow Jackets lone goal.
However, the Yellow Jackets fired three quick goals in the last 15 minutes to secure their 5-0 victory.
Sophomore
Andy Mangold (Bradford, Pa./Bradford Area) led the Tomcat offense with three shots, one of which were placed on goal.
Ryan Fisher (Munhall, Pa./Steel Valley) had two shots and
Giovanni Rossi Jr. (Hermitage, Pa./Hickory) had one.
Junior goalkeeper
Bryce Stefanowicz (Greenville, Pa./Greenville) was faced with 17 shots and made five saves.
The Tomcats return to action on Saturday, October 11 when they host the Franciscan Barons at home at Alumni Stadium.
