GREENVILLE, Pa. -- The Thiel College Men's Soccer team dropped their Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) match to the Franciscan Barons 4-0 Saturday night at Alumni Stadium.
The Tomcats fall 3-9-1 (0-5-1) as the Barons advance to 8-6 (6-0).
The two teams battled back and fourth until Franciscan got on the board 25 minutes into the game to take the 1-0 lead. The Tomcats held them off on defense the rest of the half, only allowing the one goal.
Soon into the second half, the Barons struck again to take the 2-0 lead.
Junior
Ryan Fisher (Munhall, Pa./Steel Valley) led Thiel's offense with two shots, one of which was on goal and
Andy Mangold (Bradford, Pa./Bradford Area) had one.
In goal,
Bryce Stefanowicz (Greenville, Pa./Greenville) played a full 72 minutes and made six saves. Freshman
Dylan Budziak (Mentor, Ohio/Mentor) had some time between the pipes and made one save.
The Tomcats return to action on Wednesday, October 15 when they travel to Geneva College.
