GROVE CITY, Pa. (Oct. 4) -- The Thiel College Men's Soccer team fell 3-0 at reigning Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) runner-up Grove City College Saturday afternoon fro Don Lyle Field.
The Tomcats drop to 3-7-1 (0-3-1) while the Wolverines rise to 6-2-2 (3-0-1).
Bryce Stefanowicz (Greenville, Pa./Greenville) totaled nine saves in 80 minutes of action while
Dylan Budziak (Mentor, Ohio/Mentor) logged a pair of saves in the final 10 minutes.
Zack Loeser (Long Island, N.Y./Rocky Point) and
Alex Ciambella (East Amherst, N.Y./Williamsville North) had Thiel's two shots on goal for the afternoon.
Grove City logged two goals in the opening 10 minutes of the contest and added a third with 5 minutes and change left in the first half. The Tomcats held the Wolverines off the board in the second half.
Thiel returns to action Wednesday at Waynesburg with first kick coming at 8 p.m. from John F. Wiley Stadium.
