GREENVILLE, Pa. (Oct. 2) -- Thiel College Athletics will celebrate the 20th anniversary of its historic 2005 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) championship football team on Saturday, Oct. 11, during the Tomcats' noon showdown with conference rival Geneva at Alumni Stadium.
Festivities kick off on Friday, Oct. 10, beginning with a welcome ceremony at 3:30 p.m. in Bly Hall lobby. Members of the 2005 team and coaching staff will then join the current Tomcats for their team meeting at 4 p.m. before gathering for a social event at the Majestic Bar and Grille later that evening.
On gameday, returning team members and staff are invited to check in at the welcome tent at Alumni Stadium at 10 a.m. The 2005 Tomcats will then be honored with a special halftime recognition ceremony during the contest against the Golden Tornadoes.

The 2005 Tomcats authored the most successful season in program history, thrilling fans with heart-stopping action, dramatic victories and a school-record 11 wins. Their campaign concluded with the program's third PAC championship and first-ever NCAA Playoff victory — a 28-3 rout of national power Johns Hopkins in the opening round from Alumni Stadium.
