ERIE, Pa. – The Thiel College women's volleyball team defeated the Houghton Highlanders, 3-0, Friday evening at the Penn State Behrend Tournament.
Thiel won in straight sets 25-13, 25-23, 25-17.
Thiel was led by freshman
Aaleeah Brennan (North Port, Fla./Florida Virtual School) who recorded 14 kills and four digs.
Daisy Jenness (Pendleton, Ore./Pendleton) recorded eight kills and three digs, while
Arin DeLattre (Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield) notched six kills and two service aces.
Danielle Aulet (Lawrence, Kansas/Mineral Ridge) recorded 10 digs, while
Carlie Reynolds (Grove City, Pa./Grove City Area) recorded a game-high 28 assists.
Houghton was led by Katie Naprawa who notched six kills and two digs. Morgan Brace recorded 12 assists and a service. Ainslie Reimer recorded 11 digs.
The Tomcats return to action for day two of the Penn State Behrend Tournament on Saturday. They will play Alfred at noon, followed by Fredonia at 2 p.m.
