GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College women's volleyball team defeated the Pitt-Greensburg Bobcats in a non-conference match, 3-2, Tuesday night inside Maenpa Court at Beeghly Gymnasium.

The Tomcats took the first set 25-13, before the Bobcats took the second and third sets 25-23, 25-19. Thiel took the match with fourth and fifth set wins of 25-11, 15-10.

Thiel was led by Daisy Jenness (Pendleton, Ore./Pendleton) who recorded 23 kills. Erica Gregory (Clinton Township, Mich./Fraser) recorded 13 kills and 18 digs, while Danielle Aulet (Lawrence, Kansas/Mineral Ridge) recorded 44 digs. Her 44 digs are the most in a match since she recorded 48 against Neumann in 2022. Carlie Reynolds (Grove City, Pa./Grove City Area) recorded 46 assists, while Arin DeLattre (Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield) recorded four blocks.

Pitt-Greensburg was led by Madison Friess who recorded 19 kills and 31 digs. Abigail Miller recorded two service aces and two blocks, while Grace Bradley recorded 21 assists.

The Tomcats return to action on Friday when they travel to Westminster for the Grove City-Westminster Tournament. They will open play against RIT at 2 p.m., before playing Westminster at 4 p.m.
