KEUKA, N.Y. – The Thiel College women's volleyball team opened play in the Keuka Tournament with a 3-1 win over the Hilbert Hawks Friday night.
The Tomcats dropped the first set 11-25, before taking the next three sets 25-22, 25-21, 26-24 to win the match.
Thiel was led by
Erica Gregory (Clinton Township, Mich./Fraser) who recorded 13 kills and four service aces.
Lyndzee Amory (Edinboro, Pa./Saegertown) recorded 11 kills in her collegiate debut, while
Daisy Jenness (Pendleton, Ore./Pendleton) recorded nine kills and one block.
Arin DeLattre (Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield) recorded two blocks.
Jazmyn Stevens (Mantua, Ohio/Crestwood) recorded 28 assists, while
Danielle Aulet (Lawrence, Kansas/Mineral Ridge) recorded 18 digs.
Alex Ball (Clymer, Pa./Indiana Area) also recorded 11 digs.
Hilbert was led by McKenna Rice who notched nine kills. Katie Kociszewski recorded five kills, while Jessee Jonathan recorded 16 assists. Natalie Ruhlmann recorded a game-high 20 digs.
The Tomcats will conclude play in the Keuka Tournament with a pair of games on Saturday. First, they will play Keuka at 11 a.m., before concluding play against Pitt-Bradford at 1 p.m.
