KEUKA, N.Y. – The Thiel College women's volleyball team concluded play at the Keuka Tournament with wins over Keuka and Pitt-Bradford on Saturday.
The Tomcats went 3-0 this weekend to open the 2024 season.
In the first match of the day, the Tomcats beat Keuka, 3-1, with set scores of 19-25, 25-9, 25-12, 25-14.
The Tomcats were led by
Daisy Jenness (Pendleton, Ore./Pendleton) who notched 12 kills and two blocks.
Arin DeLattre (Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield) recorded 11 kills and three blocks, while
Danielle Aulet (Lawrence, Kansas/Mineral Ridge) recorded a game-high 26 digs.
Carlie Reynolds (Grove City, Pa./Grove City Area) recorded 29 assists and 15 digs.
Keuka was led by Dayna Edholm who recorded 10 kills and nine digs. Gabby Rodriguez recorded a team-high 17 digs, while Casey Hunziker recorded 11 assists.
In the second match, the Tomcats defeated the Panthers, 3-2, with set scores of 25-19, 28-30, 20-25, 25-21, 15-10.
Thiel was led by DeLattre who notched 14 kills. Jenness recorded 12 kills, while
Erica Gregory (Clinton Township, Mich./Fraser) tallied eight kills.
Kelly Peplowski (Hubbard, Ohio/Ursuline) recorded three blocks. Aulet recorded 17 digs and five service aces, while Reynolds notched a game-high 43 assists and 17 digs.
Pitt-Bradford was led by Alycia Wilson recorded 17 kills and 17 digs, while Alexah Martinez recorded 26 assists. Kayla Maslowski recorded a game-high 35 digs.
The Tomcats will return to action on Friday when they play in the Penn State Behrend Tournament. They will begin play against Houghton at 5 p.m.
