GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College women's lacrosse team lost a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) game Wednesday to the Allegheny Gators at Alumni Stadium, 14-8.
 
Thiel led 3-2 at the end of the first quarter. The Gators went on to lead 9-4 at halftime and never looked back in earning the conference win.
 
Ashlyn Wightman (Pittsburgh, Pa./Shaler) led Thiel with five points (4G, 1A). Briney Stilinovich (Long Beach, Calif./Los Alamitos) scored two goals while Jocelyn Denihan (Conneautville, Pa/Conneaut Area) tallied two points (1G, 1A). Shayla Foster (East Liverpool, Ohio/East Liverpool) had four caused turnovers and three ground balls.
 
Emily Herrold led Allegheny with four goals and 11 draw controls.
 
Madison Liggett (Baltimore, Md./Catholic) made 11 saves for the Tomcats. Sarah Thorman made four saves for the Gators.
 
Thiel (5-3, 1-1 PAC) will host the Washington & Jefferson Presidents (3-6, 2-0 PAC) Saturday. The PAC game is scheduled to start at noon.
