STEUBENVILLE, Ohio – The Thiel College women's lacrosse team won a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) game on the road Wednesday over the Franciscan Barons, 16-10.
Ashlyn Wightman (Pittsburgh, Pa./Shaler) led Thiel with a game-high seven points (6G, 1A). She also contributed four caused turnovers, four ground balls and two draw controls.
Jocelyn Denihan (Conneautville, Pa/Conneaut Area),
Skylar Garlick (Fort Loudon, Pa./James Buchanan) and
Heaven Fitch (Baltimore, Md./Greater Grace Christian Academy) tallied three points apiece for the Tomcats.
Hayden Wightman (Pittsburgh, Pa./Shaler) scored two goals.
Carolyn Cooke paced the Barons with five points (2G, 3A). Joanna Hilkert scored four goals while Brooke Biagi registered three points (2G, 1A) and 19 draw controls.
Thiel's
Madison Liggett (Baltimore, Md./Catholic) matched her season high with 14 saves. Kiera Wilson made six saves for Franciscan.
Thiel (6-4, 2-2 PAC) will host the Westminster Titans (3-7, 2-2 PAC) Saturday at Alumni Stadium. The PAC game will begin at noon.
