PITTSBURGH, Pa. – The Thiel College men's volleyball team defeated the Carlow Celtics, 3-0, on the road Monday night in an Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) game.
The Tomcats won in straight sets 25-13, 25-16, 25-20.
Thiel was led by
Kaleb Proudfoot (Butler, Pa./Butler) who recorded a game-high and career-high 17 kills and four blocks.
David Gonzalez (El Paso, Texas/Eastwood) recorded 11 digs and a blocks, while
Tyler Hussey (Irwin, Pa./Norwin) recorded three service aces.
Cameron Long (Rock Hill, S.C./Legion Collegiate Academy) recorded 10 digs, while
Ben Lowell (Portland, Ore./Sunset) recorded a game-high 29 assists.
Carlow was led by Russ Cyprowski who recorded eight kills and nine digs. Will Piccolino recorded seven kills and six digs, while Ryan Callahan recorded 16 assists.
The Tomcats will close out the regular season on Saturday when they travel to Hiram. The AMCC match is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
