ALLIANCE, Ohio – The Thiel College softball team lost a pair of non-conference games on the road Monday to the Mount Union Purple Raiders.
Mount Union won 10-1 in the first game and 8-0 in the second game.
Mackenzie Herman (Greenville, Pa./Reynolds) led the Tomcats with a solo home run in the fourth inning of the first game.
Kylie Heid (Monaca, Pa./Central Valley),
Mila Brdar (White Oak, Pa./McKeesport) and
Lauren Bonner (Hermitage, Pa./Reynolds) also recorded one hit apiece in the first game.
Heid also doubled in the second game.
The Tomcats are scheduled to host the La Roche Redhawks Wednesday. The first game of the non-conference doubleheader is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m.
