Tomcats continue play in Fastpitch Dreams Spring Classic

LITTLE RIVER, S.C. – The Thiel College softball team continued play Thursday in the Fastpitch Dreams Spring Classic. Thiel fell to the Brevard Tornado 10-0 and the Lycoming Warriors 11-0.
 
Abby Delp threw a 1-hitter for the Brevard Tornado. She struck out two batters in the 5-inning game.
 
Makenna Oswalt (Johnstown, Pa./Westmont Hilltop) singled against Brevard.
 
Lycoming's Avery Eiswerth also allowed just one hit through four innings of work. She struck out five batters and allowed one walk.
 
Oswalt doubled against the Warriors while Kylie Heid (Monaca, Pa./Central Valley) singled.
 
The Tomcats will continue play in the Fastpitch Dreams Spring Classic Friday. Thiel will play Vermont State Castleton at 9 a.m. and Minnesota Morris at 1 p.m.
