GREENVILLE, Pa. – Thiel College men's soccer head coach
Zack Walters recently announced the hiring of
Phil George and
Jordon Zajac as the program's assistant coaches.
George and Zajac have served as volunteer assistant coaches for the program for the past three years.
A native of Mercer, Pa., George is a special education teacher at Mohawk Area High School. He has served as the goalkeeper's coach at Hickory High School for the past 10 years. He also currently has his United Soccer Coaches Level 1 and 2 goalkeeper certifications.
George earned his bachelor's degree in elementary and special education from Edinboro University. He obtained his master's degree in educational development and strategies from Wilkes University.
A native of Sharon, Pa., Zajac most recently served as the head girls varsity soccer coach at Sharon High School. Prior to that, he was an assistant for both the boys and girls programs, where he has seven years of coaching experience. Zajac is also a licensed high school soccer referee in Pennsylvania.
Zajac earned his bachelor's degree in biology from Slippery Rock University.
