ARLINGTON, Va. – The Thiel College men's volleyball team lost a non-conference match on the road Friday to the Marymount Saints, 3-0.
The Saints, who improved to 9-0 on the season, won by set scores of 25-19, 25-15, 25-17.
Jake Dies (Cambridge Springs, Pa./Cambridge Springs) and
Kaleb Proudfoot (Butler, Pa./Butler) led the Tomcats with six kills apiece. Dies also tallied two aces.
Ben Lowell (Portland, Ore./Sunset) recorded 21 assists while
Josh Pugh (Wexford, Pa./Pine Richland) had eight digs.
Marymount's Devon Robinson led all players with 13 kills. Esteban Jauregui had 10 kills while Diego Pena tallied 26 assists and seven digs.
The Tomcats will play a pair of non-conference matches on the road Saturday. Thiel will face Immaculata at 1 p.m. and Hood at 3 p.m.
