GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College men's volleyball team lost a non-conference game to the Mount Union Purple Raiders, 3-0, Wednesday night at Maenpa Court at Beeghly Gymnasium.
Mount Union won in straight sets 25-21, 25-20, 28-26.
Thiel was led by
Kaleb Proudfoot (Butler, Pa./Butler) who recorded a team-high nine kills, two digs and a block.
Jake Dies (Cambridge Springs, Pa./Cambridge Springs) recorded four kills, four blocks and two service aces, while
James Cromwell-Young (Virginia Beach, Va./Green Run) recorded eight kills and two blocks. Freshman
Ben Lowell (Portland, Ore./Sunset) recorded a team-high 30 assists to go along with seven digs, while
Cameron Long (Rock Hill, S.C./Legion Collegiate Academy) recorded seven digs.
Mount Union was led by Jack McClure who recorded 18 kills and three digs. Jacob Nussdorfer recorded 10 kills and five digs, while Cameron Weeg recorded six kills and three blocks. Peyton Koszelak recorded a game-high 14 digs.
The Tomcats will hit the road for a non-conference matchup against Marymount University on Friday. The non-conference game is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
