GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College men's volleyball team lost a non-conference match to the Geneva Golden Tornadoes, 3-0, Thursday night.
Geneva won in straight sets 25-23, 25-21, 25-17.
Thiel was led by
Jake Dies (Cambridge Springs, Pa./Cambridge Springs) who recorded nine kills and two blocks.
Will Zimmerman (Cranberry, Pa./Seneca Valley) recorded seven kills and 14 digs, while
Kaleb Proudfoot (Butler, Pa./Butler) recorded seven kills, three blocks and two digs.
Ethan Cooper (Venetia, Pa./Peters Township) recorded a team-best 25 assists, while
Cameron Long (Rock Hill, S.C./Legion Collegiate Academy) recorded a game-high 16 digs.
Geneva was led by Andrew Ubinger who recorded nine kills and seven digs. Decker Milroy recorded five kills and a game-high 29 assists. Joshua Sangrey recorded a team-best 11 digs.
The Tomcats return to action on Wednesday, February 7 for a non-conference matchup against the Mount Union Purple Raiders. The non-conference match is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
