GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College men's soccer team dropped a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) game to the defending conference champion Geneva Golden Tornadoes, 1-0, Wednesday night at Alumni Stadium.
The lone goal of the match came in the 80
th minute, virtue of a free kick just inside Thiel's half of the field.
Thiel was led by
Hunter Blatt (Greenville, Pa./Greenville) and
Ethan Bihler (Bossier City, La./Benton).
Geneva was led by Luke Main who recorded the only goal of the game.
In goal for Thiel,
Kevin Gilroy (Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio/Cuyahoga Falls) earned his second start of the season, making seven saves.
In net for Geneva, Evan Shale earned the clean sheet.
The Tomcats will travel to Washington & Jefferson on Saturday. The PAC game is slated to begin at 1 p.m.
