STEUBENVILLE, Ohio – The Thiel College men's soccer team dropped a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) game to the Franciscan Barons, 7-0, on the road Saturday afternoon.
The Barons scored five first half goals, before adding two more in the second half.
Thiel was led by
Logan Gordon (Hermitage, Pa./Hickory) who recorded one shot.
Hunter Blatt (Greenville, Pa./Greenville) and
Mitchell Strauss (Bradford Pa./Bradford Area) also recorded a shot each.
Franciscan was led by Julien Freeman who recorded two goals on four shots. Ryan Miller recorded two goals and two assists.
In goal for Thiel,
Kevin Gilroy (Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio/Cuyahoga Falls) got the start, making three saves.
For Franciscan, Aiden Miller got the start.
The Tomcats return to Alumni Stadium on Wednesday when they host defending PAC Champion Geneva. The conference match is slated to begin at 7:30 p.m.
