GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College men's volleyball team lost a non-conference game to the St. Norbert Green Knights Wednesday night in their season opener.
St. Norbert won in straight sets 25-22, 25-20, 25-12.
Kaleb Proudfoot (Butler, Pa./Butler) led the Tomcats with six kills and three blocks.
James Cromwell-Young (Virginia Beach, Va./Green Run) recorded five kills and six blocks, while
JC Govannucci (North Huntington, Pa./Norwin) recorded five kills and two digs.
Cameron Long (Rock Hill, S.C./Legion Collegiate Academy) led the team with 10 digs, while freshman
Ben Lowell (Portland, Ore./Sunset) recorded a team high 15 assists.
The Green Knights were led by Jackson Corcoran who recorded 10 kills and seven digs. Owen Knezevich, Kaden Kornaus and Ryan Conway all recorded 10 digs each. Michael Whitney recorded a game-high 30 assists.
The Tomcats will travel to Saint Vincent on Saturday for the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Preview Tournament. They will play Bethany at 1 p.m., followed by Saint Vincent at 3 p.m.
