GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College men's soccer team lost a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) game to the Franciscan Barons, 3-1, Tuesday night at Alumni Stadium.
Franciscan got on the board 30 minutes into the match through Lucas Cross. Seven minutes later, the Barons doubled their lead through a penalty kick.
Franciscan added another goal in the 76
th minute, before
Neko Hatton (Bryans Road, Md./Henry E. Lackey) scored his first goal of the season four minutes from full time.
Thiel was led by
AJ Trobek (Hubbard, Ohio/Hubbard) who recorded two shots including one on goal.
Hunter Blatt (Greenville, Pa./Greenville) also recorded a shot on goal, while Hatton recorded the Tomcats lone goal.
Franciscan was led by Jonathan Schriner who recorded five shots, including three on goal and one goal. Ryan Miller and Cross recorded the other Baron goals.
In goal for the Tomcats,
Bryce Stefanowicz (Greenville, Pa./Greenville) recorded six saves. His counterpart, Jax Mautone recorded two saves.
The Tomcats will travel to Waynesburg on Saturday. The conference game is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m.
