Roddy leads Tomcats against Redhawks

PITTSBURGH – The Thiel College softball team lost a non-conference game on the road Monday to the La Roche Redhawks, 3-1.
 
Kayla Roddy (Cincinnati, Ohio/Oak Hills) led the Tomcats at the plate with a 2-for-3 effort.
 
Kylee Yothers (Indian Head, Pa./Connellsville Area), Abby Rottman (Hilliards, Pa./Moniteau) and Riley Ladd (Mineral Ridge, Ohio/Mineral Ridge) had one hit apiece.
 
Roddy allowed three runs on six hits in the loss.
 
Game 2 of the scheduled doubleheader was postponed due to rain and poor field conditions.
 
The Tomcats are scheduled to play the Geneva Golden Tornadoes on the road Wednesday. The first game of the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) doubleheader will begin at 3:30 p.m.
