Wightman leads Thiel with 11 points against Westminster

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – The Thiel College women's lacrosse team lost a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) game on the road Friday to the Westminster Titans, 24-17.
 
Thiel trailed by just two goals (18-16) heading into the fourth quarter, but Westminster finished the game with five unanswered goals to secure the league win.
 
Ashlyn Wightman (Pittsburgh, Pa./Shaler) led all players with 11 points and 10 goals. She also tallied 11 draw controls. Her 11 points were the second most in a single game in program history. It was the second time this season she scored 10 goals. Her 10th goal Friday was also the 150th of her career.
 
Destiny Johnson (Baltimore, Md./Western) recorded five points (4G, 1A). She also notched a game-best 12 draw controls to go along with four caused turnovers and four ground balls. Camy Seman (Conneautville, Pa./Conneaut Area) had two points (1G, 1A), three draw controls and three ground balls.
 
Stephanie Cimini (7G, 3A) and Nina Rascona (4G, 6A) led the Titans with 10 points apiece.
 
Justina Jenkins (Dresden, N.Y./Penn Yan) made nine saves for Thiel. Jade Hromanik made 13 saves for Westminster.
 
The Tomcats will host the Grove City Wolverines Tuesday at Alumni Stadium. The PAC game will begin at 5 p.m.
