MEADVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College women's volleyball team lost its Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) opener on the road Wednesday to the Allegheny Gators, 3-0.
 
The Gators won in straight sets (25-15, 25-21, 25-12).
 
Erica Gregory (Clinton Township, Mich./Fraser) led the Tomcats with 10 kills while also recording six digs and two blocks. Arin DeLattre (Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield) registered five kills and three blocks while Emma Buchta (Oak Creek, Wis./Oak Creek) tallied five kills.
 
Sarah Orr (Conneaut Lake, Pa./Conneaut Area) and Taegan Geiser (Holmesville, Ohio/Waynedale) contributed 11 and 10 assists, respectively. Carlie Reynolds (Grove City, Pa./Grove City Area) chipped in with eight digs.
 
Emma Chambers led Allegheny with 13 kills while Angelee Bawek had 12 kills.
 
The Tomcats will host the Saint Vincent Bearcats Saturday. The PAC match will begin at 4 p.m.
