WAYNESBURG, Pa. – The Thiel College women's volleyball team defeated the Waynesburg Yellow Jackets, 3-0, on the road Saturday afternoon in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) game.
The Tomcats won in straight sets, 29-27, 25-14, 25-18.
Thiel was led by sophomore outside hitter
Daisy Jenness (Pendleton, Ore./Pendleton) who recorded a game-high 16 kills. Freshman
Arin DeLattre (Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield) recorded 13 kills and added four blocks. Junior
Erica Gregory (Clinton Township, Mich./Fraser) recorded 11 kills, one block, one service aces, and a game-high 23 digs.
Taegan Geiser (Holmesville, Ohio/Waynedale) recorded a game-high 37 assists and four service aces.
Waynesburg was led by Emma Hyatt who recorded a team high nine kills, one service aces and four blocks. Riley Ruffley recorded 13 assists, while Jordan Stein recorded 12 digs.
The Tomcats return to Maenpa Court at Beeghly Gymnasium on Wednesday against Grove City for senior night. The PAC game is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
