WASHINGTON, Pa. – The Thiel College men's soccer team lost to the Washington and Jefferson Presidents, 1-0, on Wednesday.
The first half would end in a stalemate. The Presidents would find the game winning goal in the 78
th minute.
For the Tomcats, sophomore
Chase Yopp (New Brighton, Pa./New Brighton) led the team with two shots on goal. Junior
Evan Young (Suitland, Md./Henry E. Lackey) also recorded a shot on goal. In net, freshman
Nick Kristian (Aliquippa, Pa./Hopewell) recorded five saves in his first career start.
The Presidents were led by Parker Byas, who recorded the only goal of the match. In goal, Charles Boldosser notched three saves in the win.
The Tomcats are back in action on Friday when they welcome the Geneva Golden Tornadoes to Alumni Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
