NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – The Thiel College women's volleyball team won a non-conference match on the road over the Westminster Titans Tuesday, 3-1.
The Tomcats fell in the first game (23-25) but went on to win the next three sets (25-19, 25-16, 25-22).
Maria Torres (Boardman, Ohio/Boardman) led the Tomcats with 18 digs and 13 kills.
Cassandra Bown (Broadalbin, N.Y./Broadalbin-Perth), who owned an attack percentage of .500, registered 11 kills and five digs.
Kylee Eaton (Parker, Pa./AC Valley) tallied 11 digs and nine kills.
Katie Stamp (Boardman, Ohio/Boardman) recorded six kills while
Jordyn Liedike (Anchorage, Alaska/Grace Christian) had five kills and five blocks.
Danielle Aulet (Lawrence, Kansas/Mineral Ridge) contributed 24 digs while freshman setter
Carlie Reynolds (Grove City, Pa. /Grove City Area) led all players with 28 assists while also chipping in with six digs.
Lauren Lampus paced Westminster with a match-best 14 kills and 12 digs.
The Tomcats (6-6) will host the Geneva Golden Tornadoes (5-8) on Tuesday, Sept. 27. The match will begin at 7 p.m.
