MEADVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College men's lacrosse team lost its last non-conference game of the season Wednesday on the road to the Allegheny Gators, 21-6.
Dylan Waskiewicz (York, Pa./Red Lion) and
Chase Lawler (Etters, Pa./Red Land) paced the Tomcats with two goals apiece.
John Robbins (Jeannette, Pa./Penn-Trafford) and
Bryce Knauf (Greenville, Pa./Greenville) also scored a goal.
Evan Whiteside (Monroeville, Pa./Gateway) won 10 faceoffs and picked up five ground balls.
Benjamin Gallegos led the Gators with seven points (5G, 2A) while Pete Schellbach tallied five points (3G, 2A).
Jason Masciantonio (Wernersville, Pa./Conrad Weiser) made 13 saves in 45 minutes for the Tomcats while
Juan Zurita (Avondale, Pa./Kennett) made two saves in the fourth quarter. Eric Mirkovich and David Kratzenberg combined to make six saves for Allegheny.
The Tomcats will face the Franciscan Barons Saturday at Alumni Stadium. The Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) game will begin at 1 p.m.
