GROVE CITY, Pa. – The Thiel College women's lacrosse team lost a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) game on the road Wednesday to the Grove City Wolverines, 13-5.
Ashlyn Wightman (Pittsburgh, Pa./Shaler) led the Tomcats with three goals while also collecting four draw controls and three ground balls.
Destiny Johnson (Baltimore, Md./Western) recorded two points (1G, 1A) while
Maddy Wightman (Pittsburgh, Pa./Shaler) scored a goal and contributed four draw controls.
Grove City's Brooke Stoltzfus led all players with five points (4G, 1A). Madison Nazigian scored four goals and led all players with eight draw controls and six ground balls.
Elyse Kiggins made 15 saves for Grove City.
Madison Liggett (Baltimore, Md./Catholic) made 11 saves for Thiel.
Grove City improved to 12-2 overall and 6-0 in PAC play with the win. Thiel fell to 5-4 overall and 3-2 in conference play.
The Tomcats will host the Saint Vincent Bearcats Saturday at Alumni Stadium. The PAC game will begin at noon.
