GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College men's volleyball team was defeated, 3-0 (25-14, 25-19, 25-20), by the Hiram Terriers in an Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) match Wednesday evening.
Before the game, the Tomcats honored seniors
Colton Greenlee (Cochranton, Pa./Cochranton) and
Dylan Proper (Titusville, Pa./Maplewood).
Jake Dies (Cambridge Springs, Pa./Cambridge Springs) led the Tomcats with seven kills and tallied three block assists.
Zac Smith (Pittsburgh, Pa./Keystone Oaks),
JC Govannucci (North Huntington, Pa./Norwin), and Greenlee each notched five kills. Smith also tied
Ricky Castillo (New Lenox, Ill./Lincoln Way West) for the team lead with 10 digs.
Connor McInnis (Southington, Conn./Southington) also chipped in eight kills and two service aces.
Brandon Millias (North Syracuse, N.Y./Cicero-North Syracuse) recorded 15 assists and three digs.
Kilvio Montero and Tom Supan recorded 13 and 11 kills respectively. Andrew Diaz de Padilla finished with 32 assists, while Cory Fischer tallied 13 digs.
The Tomcats conclude the season in an AMCC tri-match at Mount Aloysius on Saturday. The Tomcats will take on the Hilbert Hawks at 2:30 p.m. and Mount Aloysius at 5 p.m.
