GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College men's soccer team lost a non-conference game to the Penn-State Brandywine Lions, 4-0, Sunday afternoon.
The Lions got on the board in the 13
th minute and would hold on to the lead for the rest of the game. The Lions added two more first half goals to go into halftime up 3-0. The Lions would add one more goal in the second half to round out the scoring.
For the Lions, Ethan Stimpson, Robbie Warren, Khafren Smith and Lex Smith each recorded a goal. In net, Patrick Corley and William Manarpaac combined for the shutout.
For the Tomcats, freshman
Olasunkanmi Orisan (Houston, Texas/James Hubert Blake) and sophomore
Kevin Gilroy (Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio/Cuyahoga Falls) made their collegiate debuts. In net, freshman
Nick Kristian (Aliquippa, Pa./Hopewell) and Gilroy combined to make ten saves.
The Tomcats are back in action on Wednesday when they welcome the Saint Vincent Bearcats to Alumni Stadium for a Presidents' Athletic Conference matchup. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
