GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College men's soccer team beat the Saint Vincent Bearcats in a Presidents' Athletic Conference match, 1-0, Wednesday night.
The Tomcats got on the board through junior
Evan Young (Suitland, Md./Henry E. Lackey) and held onto the lead throughout the remainder of the match.
For the Tomcats, Young recorded the only goal of the game. Sophomore
Hunter Blatt (Greenville, Pa./Greenville) recorded his first assist of the season. Freshman
Tyler Davy (Lewis Center, Ohio/Olentangy Orange) led the team with two shots on goal. In net, freshman
Nick Kristian (Aliquippa, Pa./Hopewell) notched eight saves in his first career clean sheet and first career win.
For the Bearcats, Eduardo Richa recorded three shots. Richa and David Rahaman led the team with two shots on goal each. In net, Kameron Rock recorded three saves in the match.
The Tomcats are back in action for their final home game of the season when they welcome the Bethany Bison to Alumni Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 5 p.m.
