GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Thiel College women's volleyball team opened Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) play Saturday with a 3-0 win over the Franciscan Barons at Maenpa Court at Beeghly Gymnasium.
Thiel won by set scores of 25-20, 25-15, 25-15.
Maria Torres (Boardman, Ohio/Boardman) led the Tomcats with 11 kills and 10 digs.
Raquel McDonald (Syracuse, N.Y./Bishop Grimes) tallied seven kills and two blocks.
Erica Gregory (Clinton Township, Mich./Fraser) and
Kylee Eaton (Parker, Pa./AC Valley) recorded six kills apiece. Gregory also contributed three blocks.
Brooke Talbot (Calcutta, Ohio/Beaver Local) registered a match-best 34 assists to go along with 10 digs.
Danielle Aulet (Lawrence, Kansas/Mineral Ridge) led all players with 29 digs.
Renee Antonelli paced the Barons with 14 digs and 12 kills.
The Tomcats will face the Grove City Wolverines on the road Tuesday. The PAC match is set to begin at 7 p.m.
