ALLIANCE, Ohio – The Thiel College women's volleyball team concluded play in the Mount Union Invitational Saturday. Thiel lost 3-0 to Mount Union and SUNY Geneseo.
Mount Union by scores of 25-12, 25-16 and 25-14.
Kylee Eaton (Parker, Pa./AC Valley) paced the Tomcats against the Purple Raiders with seven kills and six digs.
Danielle Aulet (Austintown, Ohio/Mineral Ridge) registered 10 assists and six digs.
Karley Schlensker (Fairfield, Ohio/Badin) and
Erica Gregory (Clinton Township, Mich./Fraser) contributed eight digs apiece.
Maria Ellesin and Darby Leininger led the Purple Raiders with eight kills apiece. Mollie Thomas recorded 20 assists while Heaven Bartell notched 13 digs.
SUNY Geneseo won by scores of 25-13, 25-14 and 25-21. Eaton recorded six kills while Gregory and Schlensker chipped in with 11 digs apiece. Aulet handed out 10 assists.
Madison Popielski led SUNY Geneseo with eight kills. Emily Haber was credited with 19 digs.
Thiel junior
Jordyn Liedike (Anchorage, Alaska/Grace Christian) was named to the All-Tournament Team. She tallied 12 kills, four blocks and a pair of digs in four games during the tournament.
Thiel will take on Baldwin Wallace on the road Tuesday. The non-conference match is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
