NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – The Thiel College softball team lost a pair of Presidents' Athletic Conference games Saturday on the road to the Westminster Titans. The Titans won the first game 9-0 and the second game 13-0.
Kayla Roddy (Cincinnati, Ohio/Oak Hills) allowed three earned runs and struck out three batters in the first game, but Westminster's Madison Brown tossed a no-hitter with five strikeouts.
Riley Ladd (Mineral Ridge, Ohio/Mineral Ridge) and
Casey Buechel (Allison Park, Pa./Deer Lakes) recorded one single apiece for the Tomcats in the second game.
The Tomcats will host the Franciscan Barons on Wednesday. The first game of the PAC doubleheader is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m.
