Lindsey Durboraw sparks Tomcats in second game against Bearcats

LATROBE, Pa. – The Thiel College softball team lost two non-conference games on the road Monday to the Saint Vincent Bearcats. The Bearcats won the first game 8-0 before winning 10-2 in the second game.
 
Kayla Roddy (Cincinnati, Ohio/Oak Hills), Kylee Yothers (Indian Head, Pa./Connellsville Area) and Melina Bufalini (Aliquippa, Pa./Hopewell) each recorded a hit for the Tomcats in the first game.
 
Lindsey Durboraw (Medford, N.J./Shawnee) staked the Tomcats to a 2-0 lead in the first inning of the second game with a 2-RBI single to left field. The Bearcats answered with four runs in the bottom of the first and went on to earn their second win of the day.
 
The Tomcats will open Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) play on Thursday when they host the Waynesburg Yellow Jackets at Tomcat Park. The first game of the doubleheader is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m.
