NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – The Thiel College men's soccer team lost, 2-0, to the Westminster Titans in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) contest Saturday afternoon.
The Titans opened the scoring with a goal at the 22:14 mark. In the second half, the Tomcats kept the game close, but the Titans would get an insurance goal and go on to win 2-0.
For the Tomcats, goaltender
Devin Weisbarth (Akron, Ohio/Norton) recorded 13 saves and let in just two goals.
Evan Young (Bryans Road, Md./Henry E. Lackey) took three shots.
Dylan Ralston (Joppa, Md./Perry Hall) and
Neko Hatton (Bryans Road, Md./Henry E. Lackey) notched a shot on goal apiece.
For the Titans, Nick Iregui and Nate Taylor scored goals. Kai Haseyama assisted both goals. Jad Jadallah totaled two saves in the shutout.
The Tomcats' next game will be at Franciscan on Tuesday. The game is scheduled to start at 8:15 p.m.
