GROVE CITY, Pa. – The Thiel College men's soccer team fell, 8-0, in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) contest against the Grove City Wolverines on Saturday.
The Wolverines scored three goals in the first half and five goals in the second half on 21 total shots.
Brock Newsome (Clyde, Ohio/Clyde) recorded a shot on goal for the Tomcats and
Evan Young (Bryans Road, Md./Henry E. Lackey) recorded a shot.
Devin Weisbarth (Akron, Ohio/Norton) and
Noah Brieck (Kensington, Ohio/United Local) each notched two saves in 45 minutes apiece.
The Wolverines were led by two goals and three assists by Mark Guinta. Luke Greenway, Grant Baierl, and Jesse Greyshock each played in goal in the team's shutout.
The Tomcats' next game will be next Saturday in a PAC contest at Westminster. The game is scheduled for a noon start time.
