STEUBENVILLE, Ohio – The Thiel College softball team lost a pair of games to the Franciscan Lady Barons on Saturday. Thiel lost 13-1 in the first game and 9-1 in the second game.
Kylee Yothers (Indian Head, Pa./Connellsville Area) led the Tomcats with a double in the first game. Andi Queen threw a 2-hitter with five strike outs for the Lady Barons in the first game.
Yothers brought in Thiel's run in the second game on a single to center field in the fifth inning. Yothers,
Kayla Roddy (Cincinnati, Ohio/Oak Hills) and
Lauren Durboraw (Medford, N.J./Shawnee) led the Tomcats at the plate in the second game with two hits apiece. Both of Roddy's hits were doubles.
The Tomcats are scheduled to host the Chatham Cougars Thursday. The first game of the doubleheader is slated to begin at 3 p.m.
